Another milestone for KEMROC: the innovative technology behind the KRC Bullhead Cutter is now protected by an invention patent in China, reinforcing KEMROC’s commitment to developing advanced cutting solutions for the international construction industry.
KEMROC has reached another important milestone in its international innovation strategy with the granting of a Chinese invention patent covering the technology associated with its innovative cutting concept used in the KRC Bullhead Cutter.
The patent was granted to KEMROC Holding GmbH by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). Patent ZL 202380068904.5, published under CN 119948225 B, took effect since 2 June 2026.
Innovation Behind KEMROC KRC Bullhead Cutter
The patented invention concerns an attachment cutting unit featuring transverse cutting heads arranged at an angle and output gears, together with a construction machine equipped with such a cutting unit.
This engineering principle is at the heart of what makes the KRC Bullhead Cutter different from conventional drum cutters. Its cutting-head arrangement enables full-face cutting across the trench profile, including the central section between the cutting heads. This reduces the need for repeated lateral excavator movements to remove material remaining in the middle.
For contractors, the concept is particularly relevant to narrow trenching and controlled rock excavation, where straight profiles, consistent trench widths and efficient excavator movements can contribute to a more controlled workflow.
